Customers need to supply accurate measurements, along with the pattern, fabric and notions for clothing items. I will need measurements, as patterns do not necessarily go along the same size
charts as you would find in ready made clothing. Sometimes one will want a pattern altered for a specific look, or will desire that I combine ideas from two patterns. Please know that this is possible, but you need to be sure you are exact in your expectations.
CLOTHING
& ACCESSORY MEASUREMENTS
Clothing made specifically for you from a pattern, will need to be fitted. Please be prepared to have multiple fittings so that your garment meets your satisfaction.
If you are requesting some clothing made, and you are not local, it is very important that you provide exact measurements from a qualified seamstress. Please know that I will make your request to the measurements that you provide, matching what the pattern compares to. There is the possibility that you
might need a slight alteration when you receive your finished item, as you will not have the benefit of a personal fitting.
$10.00 Consultation Fee which includes measurements where needed, plus $25.00 per hour for actual construction.
Accessories such as purses, hats, etc... Please provide pattern, material and notions. $25.00 per hour. If your particular item needs consultation prior to construction, there will be a $10.00 consultation fee.
Please note: I will decline work when my schedule is too full to meet your deadline, or if I feel that I am unable to create your item.
